What do the massive reckon to the aero bits on this site www.sc-power.co.uk. Maybe they will help cooling and the "bucking bronco" bonnet at anything over 70 mph, only seen this in Germany of course wink. Not sure about the front and the purists will say vomit but if it works...........

Personally im not into external'design'mods on the Griff. The way TVR did it cannot be bettered imho.I can appreciate why people that compete need such things, and thats a very different thing, done for a genuine reason.
Everybody has a differnt view though, you will see just about everything done to a griff that can also be done to a 'max power' Saxo and its you that should do as you wish, rather than be influenced by others.Might be best not to ask what others think,if your going to chav it up though!hehe
Forgot to add,i've done over 160mph in mine with no stability problems, and dont get cooling problems despite it all being standard.I think the 'bucking bronco' bonnet you describe is due to either poor rake from front to rear or loose rollers in the locating grooves or combination of both.A mate of mine had this and has since cured it by correcting these two things with correct suspension settings and velcro in the roller grooves to ensure a tight fit.

It looks to me as if they've taken the externally recognisable bits of a proper aero package and have stuck them on the outside of a standard car. It looks the part (if that style is what you're after) but I doubt it'll do much good for the handling. Suffering from the same problem as the early Saggy show cars IMO - OK at a distance as long as you don't look into the design too carefully.

I'm extremely sceptical that the rear diffusers will maintain attached air flow without a smooth underbody, so I don't think they'll make any difference at all. The front splitter will generate a little downforce at the front and a little lift at the rear. That's more or less the opposite of what you want for high speed stability. The effects are unlikely to be huge though so no great harm.

Chav! moi yikes and you'll notice that I didn't say "I'm thinking of fitting this to me car woja fink" hehe. I was hoping to get opinions as to function from the aerodynamically informed. As to the rights and wrongs of a Griff I agree its mostly brilliant which is why I own one, but the cooling is marginal and for a sports car that can do in excess of 150mph it has poor aerodynamics. The later cars all have aero tweeks not sure if they are chav though.

Thanks Pete Guess I'll leave it to the chavs and pray that the bonnet doesn't invert as it seems to want to do at speed

I can see where your coming from.To me 'chavving it' is to alter the original design in a boy racer stylee, must admit though that tusII rear spoilers,or the sagaris one, never pleased my eye much eitherscratchchin

The standard , but probably missing, knocked off, splitter on a Griff does a good job of stopping the bonnet lifting. I knocked mine off, the bonnet bounced up and down, replaced it it stopped again.

No the standard spoiler is in place. What made me ask the original question was at 3 digit speeds the bonnet is flexing a lot yikes just in front of the screen. Its not constant it flexes then is flat then flexes again. Its like the air is trapped pressure builds up and is then released.

I've seen where people have cut vent slots into the rear vertical part of the bonnet(the bit your looking at nearest the screen),presumably for this very reason, dont know if it works though?

Yeah, I was thinking along those lines, I'll keep an eye on the bonnet venting thread and see what the longer term view is.
Guess I could drive more slowly scratchchin.....nah
