Hi Guys,

I am hoping that someone might be able to help me. I am writing on behalf of my dad who has a 1998 3200GT. The problem is that there is very little effort required to depress the throttle pedal which makes it very tiring on a long motorway drive as you cannot rest the weight of your leg on the pedal.

Has anyone else found this to be a problem, and more importantly, have you found a solution? I was thinking just a beefier/additional return spring, but I have not yet had a chance to have a look at it so I'm not sure if this is practical or not.

Cheers

Mike

yeah, it takes a while to get used to for sure. at first it gave me a sore ankle on long runs because you are constantly only trying to feather it as it is so light.

haven't thought about a stronger return spring, worth a try though.

i recently bought a 3200 and noticed the same thing.
i do seem to be getting used to it though.
i moved my seat back to try and 'get out the way' a bit.

Might be worth checking that all the software on the car is up to date. The fly by wire throttle software was I believe updated over the model life of the 3200 - certainly my late 2002 car was much less 'hair trigger' than earlier cars I ahve been in / driven.

Mr Tony,

It's not so much that the throttle pedal is like a 'hair trigger', it is simply that there is next to no physical resistance. The progression of pedal/throttle seems perfectly fine.

I will update you once I have had a chance to have a look and if I find a good solution.

Cheers

Mike
