I never new Holden made an AWD Monaro, (Coupe 4)now theres another mod to add to the shopping list. I assume you can get hold of the parts and do the conversion.

ditch the t56 tank and surely there is a box out there that will do awd? the problem could be like the old audis though. And where woould you put the central diff - if you gonna do it, why limit to a 20 year old design? biggrin

If you really wanted to, you could probably adapt the transfer box to a T56...but an auto probably is the best package for the 4wd car.

No good for those with upgraded power as the auto box cannot handle much above 400 brake, source Stu Harris when we viewed the one that came over from Oz a couple of years ago.

There are a few S/C Coupe4s few getting around in AU and as far as I know without drivetrain problems

The auto can handle more power but "the computer says no", then you upgrade/replace the computer.

I had a drive in one last time I was in Melbourne, Coupe 4 with a Harrop supercharger. The traction control system was a bit dodgy did not let you have all the power for standing starts.

Textralia Pete has one of them with a GenTT kit as his daily driver.

So they can handle a little bit of poke

Anything can be done, but the mind boggles at the likely cost of the parts!

Why not just import one ?

Trying to convert one, would be a mental proposition, and cost an absolute fortune.

SVA is a bit of a nightmare but with determination and money it can be done. I agree, ultimately a more cost effective route.
