Blimey. What an odd incident. RIP.

Knew the motorway was closed because I was planning to be driving on that bit in a couple of hours.

M1 it is then.

jesus christ! does anyone know whats happened here? little scrotes with an air rifle trying a variation of the brick off the bridge routine, or a psycho with a grudge against bikers? At any rate, what a c**t! That has actually shocked me!

Just read about this. Appears he'd been to the 'Bulldog Bash'. Some biker event that I haven't heard of. Big by all accounts though.

You bikers have probably heard of it.

Bloody hell! Thats not good, bad enough for people to carry guns around, let alone use them on bikers.

Just got back after being stuck in the tailbacks.

I see the M40 is still closed this morning, pretty much all the way from Bicester North/Northampton (J10) through to Warwick !

Yep M25 between the M40 and M1 was much busier!!!

That said the M40 was really quiet!!!

As for the actual event, I'm fairly sure this will be linked to gangs etc, it won't be random or road rage or anything like that, obviously something has gone on...

Im surprised that it occurs to so few people who have commented so far that it might have been a biker that shot the biker.

What an odd thing to say considering people are talking about biker gang wars just a few posts above you....

BTW, they said on the news that they thought it was passenger in a car that did it - obviously he could still be a biker and just wanted to get a better aim..

Plenty of cars at the bulldog. You get a group going up on bikes and one sap who draws the short straw gets to drive up all the gear the rest can't carry.

Im surprised the website - http://www.bulldogbash.com/

Doesn't so much as mention this poor mans name, a small message wouldnt have gone a'miss. Seems horrible that they have a countdown clock at the top which is also a count down clock to when he was last alive. Poor bloke :/

Ok, maybe slightly overstated. In Perth where Im from, the thread would be over-run with the natural assumption that it was bike gang related, as these incidents are relatively common place. That was my point.
