Couple of problems

Since the cerb has been sitting for a while a couple of problems have appeared.

The drivers side window will not close all the way up?? Even when the car is locked. It goes down fine but it wont go all the way up. I disconected the window control box and when i plugged it back in it went all the way up suddenly. But once i opened the door and it went down i was left with the same problem?? Any ideas??

Also i dont know if it is related, but when i lock the car i can still open the doors?? Ignition wont turn on but i can get in?

Mine had a similar window and locking issue - turns out that the door sensors were buggered.

I has some odd problems with my windows and doors, I'm unsure why, but changing the proximity switches did solve the problem, it's a cheap option so probabally worth a try, here's a useful thread: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

With regards to the race car.....

Its finished but i have no engine! Its still being built. I cant get the suspension set up until i have the engine back, everything is having a knock on effect. Looks like it will be testing over the winter and then start the 08 season.

I had this after disconnecting the battery once. The drivers door window stopped about half an inch from the top and I got used to just winding it up after getting in the car. If I locked it with the blipper it wound all the way up.

Mine sorted itself out when I resolved my other door issue the other day. I locked the car to wind all the windows up, uplocked it and disconnected the control box for about 10 mins. Noticed on Sunday the window now winds all the way up when I shut the door.

So what do these magnets look like?? Niether of my cerbs apear to have anything like a magnet on the door sill??

Look for the proximity switch and close your door, where the proximity switch meets the door gap there will be a dip - that's the magnet.
