The heat shielding under my bonnet started to unstick itself; the servicing company undertook glueing it back whilst the car was there for its service, which was good. However a few weeks later it unstuck itself again, which was not good.

So what shall I try. With my last 500 I used a big pot of good ol' EVO impact & a brush; it lasted very well. Is there anything better?

I used this: Red Devil Industrial Grade Heat Resistant RTV Silicone Sealant

http://www.pronto.com/Sealers-and-Adhesives/Red-De...

It works perfect as a glue, i used it a few years back, it's still firmly attached to the bonnet.

I used Gripfill on mine, permanent fix.
Available in builders merchants everywhere,(not B&Q or Wickes), comes in a green tube for use in a mastic gun. Glues anything to anything and only 2 or 3 Quid.
Do wear gloves, sticks to skin really well!
