A good find ?

I just bought this off ebay for a tenner, I was surprised that noone bid against me.



I guessed that it might have some useful diagrams in it, I was not wrong.
Here's a couple of examples.





Assuming this info isn't already around I plan to scan it at work as a PDF file and make it available.

Colin (Pies) can you host it on www.tvrsseries.com ?

I'll split it into a number of files as there are over 100 pages in 21 chapters.

It covers S1,2 and 3 but not 4 or V8S, but there's loads of info that applies.

Loads of diagrams, fuel systems, cooling system (with all swirl pot connections etc), and loads loads more.
There's also a full parts breakdown which has TVR part numbers, which while not maybe as useful as they once were maybe still of some use.

I'll get it transferred to PDF in the next couple of days, if there's anything you're desperate for let me know.

I bought mine from the TVRCC - I think it cost less than that - can't remember. I also realise while writing that I have no idea where mine is...

Hi Chris, I bought one on ebay at the start of the year from someone who was obviously photo-copying an original - he sold a few I think... problem was he didnt do a great job and I had duplicates of some pages and others missing. Its a good reference and I have cross referenced mine to a printout of the alternative parts list and made some additions of my own.
I would be interested in your pdf to have the missing pages from mine if thats OK ?

The quality is very good.

Not a clue - I did think about this, but thought TVR must have bigger things to think about.

I had this booklet since years. Latest date in it is "S1 Dashboard, March 1990 onwards" = S3
I think I bought it from the TVRCC, circa 1990.
They must have gotten it from TVR, and probably know about copyright, if any.
It must have been intended to order parts, the famous indicatorlens is included.

Hi Colin, that may be very useful if you have. My Cerb caught fire and the water thrown on it has created an on-off relationship between the engine and it starting! It's with an electrical specialist at the mo.

Chris, no not yet, the engine bay has been repaired and painted, it's sort of semi-serviced but due to the electrics they can't finish that. We all think the water took a capillary (sp?) action and corroded something somewhere. So, it should be a simple problem, but the difficulty is actually finding it!

i think we looked into the copyright issue a while ago and i think the conclusions is it was ok to do as the car is obselete and is not available to purchase from the supplier or printer

i may be wrong though
