Has anyone got a genuine Lucas distributor for sale in reasonable condition? Type 35dlm8 with or without amplifier or oil drive sections(got several of those parts available to fit).Trying to find a replacement at reasonable cost to replace mine on a 4L pre-cat as it has quite a bit of side ways movement in the upper shaft. Ordered and received a brand new one from one of the big three V8 specialists, what arrived was very poor quality to put it mildly. They claimed that they are all "like that" now, not happy so returned it for a full refund. Purchased another new one of eBay (at a far better price) and what arrived was an identical unit in identical packaging. Again the quality was bad and not worth fitting, supplier kindly accepted a return. They had no LUCAS stamp marks or numbers on them except the vac module. Looked very "Chinese engineering" if that makes any sense?

TVR Power have one new one, but it's not for sale. They fit it onto cars to prove the symptoms are caused by your dizzy. New ones being no longer available.
They then send your original off and have it fully reconditioned.
Takes a week or 10 days.
Mine came back and works a treat.
