I can't believe it's been 10 years. I was involved for the first 3 years and it still seems as popular as ever. A great way to start motor racing on a relatively low budget.
Some drivers I remember from way back then
Rob & Ian Carvell - Ian now racing in the new 750mc VW Golf races
Guy Foulger - don't think he's racing anymore
John Gladman - went on to win Caterham Roadsport c'ship & race Superlights
Jay Frost - the biggest motorhome in the paddock
Rob Croydon - still races in various sportscars/GT's
Alan Blencowe - now racing in the Seat championship
Julian Griffin - went on to run a team in Renault Clio Cup and others
I am sure there are many others still racing or involved in some way or other.

Drove a Peugot 205 built to Stock Hatch regs on saturday in the Classic Sports CC's 40 min 2 driver "Tin Tops" race (& in testing on friday). In testing the car was running on the control tyres it came on (new, buffed Yoko A0358's(?) or something) & didn't feel very nice at all (it was previously a front running car). Put Yoko A048s on for the race and the car was transformed...much more grip & much nicer to drive. Why oh why does the 750MC insist on such rubbish tyres (particularly if people are buffing them) when the Yoko A048s are so much better, not much more expensive & will last half the season?
I'll be at Silverstone this Sunday to watch the 750 Motor Club Stock Hatch Championship amongst other things. Actually going to watch and support a mate in the Kit Car championship but I'm sure I'll make time to see the Stock Hatches. They're normally pretty entertaining and with such a huge entry, there should be plenty going on in their races.
More info, timetable and race entries are here: 750MC
Looking forward to it!
(Hope that answers your questions, stockhatcher
. I'm afraid I don't know who Bill Gregory is though...)

I had a tap from behind in to luffield which spun me round and in to the gravel.
the marshals were ace and got me running again
(ta lads)
I closed down a group of 3 cars with a lap to go, and just as I whent to dive up the inside at luffield (again) she expired!!!
post race autopsy:
after a marshal presented me with a fanbelt retrieved from said gravel trap I was found to have a completly dead battery, thus no spark, hence no power.
I now recall doing a btcc trick i.e. main beam on the blokes in front to try to worry them into an error, however I can only assume that this only served to totaly drain the remaining power from the battery and caused me to stop (jerk)
had I been nice and just driven I would probably have passed at least one if not all 3 and taken points, as it stands I get 8ugger all for a dnf (twit)

Well, I really enjoyed the day's racing on Sunday. The F4 race was fantastic; a 5-way battle for the lead that wasn't decided until the last lap. The Kitcars were pretty close too. I loved the old 750 Trophy cars and Austin 7 specials; really entertaining watching them lean their way round Luffield.
The Stock Hatches were, as Nicol@ said, very well behaved, at least they were from where I was watching! A few came through with bent panels but, on the whole, the racing was pretty clean.
Pictures from Sunday, including both Stock Hatch races and the final, are here.
