Well he says he didn't notice it was missing until he stopped at a junction - so maybe that's what alerted him to its absense wink

I once lost my sidestand and didn't know until I stopped but I think I'd notice a leg yikes

Absolutely.. in days of old (!) when sidecars were more common I know of someone who occasionally removed "the chair" & rode the bike as a solo. Not unknown when he pulled up at red lights to forget the chair was detached & stop with both feet on the pegs & gracefully fall over. Much like the David Jason/DelBoy clip against the bar on telly.
