Newbie questions I suspect, but do BMW offer an extended warranty? If so, what are the conditions on age, mileage etc and how much is it? I'm considering a CSL, but would want a warranty on it.

Alternately, are any of the third party warranties generally thought to be any good on BMWs? If so, which ones?

£1,050 P.A. for an M3/CSL under 60,000 miles and £1,800 for 60,000-100,000. No warranty avail. after that.

To add to the above, if you want BMW warranty, then you will have to buy the car as an Approved Used Car from a main dealer, or buy one privately that still has some extended warranty remaining, then extend the warranty on or before the date of expiry.

You cannot buy a car without warranty, have it inspected by BMW, then purchase a BMW warranty, as I believe you can do with Porsche and some other manufacturers.

The BMW Car Club recommend Warranty Direct, however I've never used them so can't comment on the service they provide.

Hi - I have just purchased a privately sold M3, with remaining warranty (was sold as an AUC to previous owner)....what is the cost of renewing this warranty when it expires in Dec?

I presume Dave is saying the M3 and M3 CSL warranties are the above prices.
