I need to get hold of a power steering rack for my 1998 Chim 4.5.

Bit of a long story, but if anyone needs to get theirs overhauled please speak to me and i'll tell you where NOT to send it! - Why can't we name and shame bad companies on here?!!!

If anyone has one for sale, or knows where i can get one, please contact me ASAP.

Thanks,

Tim.

Hi, yeah been having a nightmare with my rack (or more specifically a particular company who supposidly recondtioned my rack (for the 3rd time) then it fails again 3 weeks later.... you may be able tell I am less than impressed currently!)

Don't want to say too much publicly about the company yet as its an on going thing, but fairly safe to say that once it is all over I will either be saying how great they are and how much they helped me or more likely, judging by the way things are currently going, I will be advising everyone possible to steer well clear. Almost certain it will be the 2nd of those, but who knows, they may change their mind... furious

Thanks for the suggestion. Have tried them, but they've not got any currently.

Definitely up for a drink if my car ever gets back on the road! - Sure i'll be needing one by then! smile

I have used these people in the past with no ill effects(not on TVR stuff though):

Message sent with company name I have had problems with. Will keep you updated on what happens.

Basically feel the best thing is to get a new rack rather than have the same company attempt to repair my rack for a 4th time in the space of a year!
