Hi I have the new RADTEC ali rad. but it does not have the top right 8mm hose conector.

I thought that the griff did not have them, but the Rad sold on Ebay. that was for a Chim/Griff, had the 8mm hose.

Or is this hose conector not used on the chim/Griff.

I am fitting it to a wedge, and they do have the same RAD but the wedge uses the hose.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Leigh,

My Griff doesn't have this outlet. It does have a bleed screw in that corner but no pipework whatsoever.

I would guess it would be a nice addition to aid bleeding of the system but not necessary or convenient on a Griff. I would think you could do without on a Wedge but it might be worth asking on the Wedge forum also.

Leigh - the s/h Griff rad pictured does have these on the top right hand side ..

I have seen them on wedges before - I think they were originally intended to cool the power steering fluid and on TVR's these were not used.

The red outlet was often crushed closed.

Umm strange, on my car that pipe goes to the bottom of the Header tank.

The ones I have seen had the pipe closed off like rev-erend says.

Well I had one open and one closed.

Looks like the Griff, does not use them, hence why they are not on the Ali rad.

Thanks
Leigh
