TVR VIN'S

My Cerbera has 17 digits as it's VIN and I am looking to buy a Tuscan at the moment too. The owner has e-mailed me the VIN to do a HPi and it is coming back as VIN not matching Reg Number. The VIN that I have been given for the Tuscan is only 16 digits long.

Would I be right in thinking that the owner has left one of the letters/numbers off? Or could the Tuscan actually only have a 16 digit VIN?

Any help, much appreciated.

BTW its a 2001 Tuscan (normal, not S).

Excellent That's what I was hoping. It seems that the current owner has missed a digit between the A and the BOO.

Incidently, on the BOO bit is it 2 x O's (for Oscar) or 2 x 0's (Zero)?

On my VIN Plate the zero's have a line through them....the BOO part doesnt.
I also checked with my Mum ages ago and she confirmed I was a BOO (oscar) not a B00 (zero)
