As per the title, i've got some nearly new TCS linked de-cats (2-3 Months Old) but want a bit more noise. Does anyone out there have a set of stainless steel straight de-cats in VGC they fancy swapping? :-)

I'd consider it, although mine aren't nearly as new as yours. I'm thinking about more track days, and noise seems to be getting more of a problem!

Do you really think the links make that much of a difference?

Steve,

Where abouts on the Essex/London border are you?

I've got a set of used decat pipes (from Joolz) sitting in a box somewhere at home (just outside Chelmsford). Which you're welcome to try them and see what difference they make. They're a couple of years old and I'm not too sure of there condition.

Neil.

Well mine really are not that much noisier than with the CATS in until you hit the higher rev range but I really wanted a bit more noise not not the whole hog with a sports backbox as well.

I'm in Woodford Green near Loughton etc. Are yours Stainless steel? If so and in good nick I may be interested - it's not as if they are on show :-)

That's very much the same as my un-linked de-cats - I am not sure you'll get noticably more noise from the un-linked versions...

If you need a bit less noise for track antics Ian, ACT do inline decat silencers that replace the cats. Might be worth a look.

What I'd love is a switchable system, quiet when cruising and loud when desired, but I expect it would cost me a good fraction of the value of the car.

Steve, can you please post a link to ACT ´cause silencers that replace the cats is what I´m looking for. My Cerb is decatted and with the sports exhaust it hurts my ears when I put the pedal to the ground. Hope additional silencers are curing the problem and satisfy my neighbors.
