Limbo-Land....not Lambo-Land......
Discussion
Car purchase fell through last week between one thing and another but the buyer has assured me the money wil be transferred today, I have no reason to doubt him as the issues were out of his control but assuming it goes, so do I go shopping this month or wait til the market settles in Oct?
Does it really matter for a supercar purchase what the main market is like if they are so rare surely they are above the regular market trends?
Not to give the game away too much, I have been looking at cars over 150k.....
What do you think?
And what discount would you argue for against 200k+ cars?

It's an interesting dilemna - I always used to believe in the adage - "buy sportcars in the winter and 4 X 4''s in the summer" - but certain "specialists" are advising me that at the rarified levels of £200k+ supercars - owners aren't bothered about selling and therefore the normal rules don't apply - and therefore Hyper-car prices are immune to seasonal fluctuations - I am not sure if I believe that or not?
I'm prepared to risk hanging on until Oct/Nov to see if prices soften a little.
I think your right dealmaker I wasn; really that bothered but now my car has been part paid (completeion Monday)I'm now looking.
I think the CGT and 640 are the main runners, but the LHD Porsche puts me off it, other than that it wins in the sounds and helpfulness of maintenance as the OPC is 5 mins from me but Edibnvurgh Lambo is like 140miles away!!
Want something kinda new and still in manufacturer warranty and also a UK car.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm......

Well 640 and CGT are both corkers !
If you went with the CGT you can also rip the roof off...

or if you prefer a little quieter (shame on you)

I think you need to think through the CGT rationalisation again then my friend! ONLY Porsche Reading are allowed to do the maintenance on CGT's - so if you thought 140 miles was bad ....a CGT would seem a whole lot worse..what 440 miles????

Paul,
Why not have a look at an SLR, they are coming down in price as mentioned above in other posts. They are a few sub 200K now.
Heres one not to far from you either: -

Besides which I have still not managed to get any decent shots of a Mclaren SLR. Managed to take pics of three different Veyrons but only seen two SLR's in the flesh.
Car does look stunning in Black: -

Personally if it was my choice there would be an Ferrari F40 parked on the drive. Stunning car !!
