Now had the Monaro for all of three days and found things like intermittent rattles that I want to fix rather than take it back to the dealer. Is there a source for the factory workshop manuals?

I've got a couple I got from one of the guys on here at a very reasonable price but I'm sure he said they were around 75 quid each new and they are only 2 from a large number of volumes. There's also a "haynes" manual of sort available quite cheaply from ebay etc - can't remember name off top of my head but will dig it out when I get home later.

Mail Infomedia in Oz and tell them what you want and they will supply you a CD Service and Maintenance Manual.
Bought mine in 2002 for a
HSV and cost me about £80 I believe.

service@infomedia.com.au should get you in contact or phone
00-61-3-9556-6900.

You may or may not be able to obtain the Holden/HSV TIS CD images using peer to peer software.

Where might I be able (or not) to learn more about this facility, if it does, in fact, prove to exist?

Im also going to the states next month, does anyone know if the helms manuals (available through pontiac dealers) are compatible with our cars, as ive had a bad experience with this before (all wiring different from uk to us cars) on a previous car. Any help will be gratefully recieved, thanks, John

There is an Ellerys version that covers up to VY/V2 series III 2004.
Normally find it on ebay.
Here is a link to a bookstore in Perth that sends stuff internationally.

They also have the Haynes and Gregory titles up to 2002.

Although going to the Haynes UK website, the Haynes manual goes to the VYII 2004 version now too.

PS, Good car museum there too!! Sparkford!

ISBN: 1563926016

Probably a bit easier to get it over there too!

Quoted from normal home! Doesn't include VZ cars, However there is supposed to be a CD available to purchase from holden now for the VZ's. Cost is around $500

for those that have had success you may find that the program doesn't install, but you can browse all the info direct from the pdf files if you use the main.pdf it opens the main index as if the program were installed

you may also wish to google "VTVYSERIES II.pdf" & "VT Manual"

sadly nothing found (yet) for ls2 flavours but still useful me thinks

I have found two manuals on torrent:

1) d-mininova[1].org-b VT_VX_HOLDEN_DEALERSHIP_REPAIR_MANUAL.torrent. This 300 odd meg image doesn't appear to include anything newer than my 2000 model

2) VT-VX+Tech+CD[1].iso.torrent is 679meg - this one seems to have everything including recall data. If anyone wants this torrent emailed to them PM me with an email to send it to. Neither of the files run from the hard disk as already stated and I am yet to burn them to disk but you can access the data all the same. I think it if after a Visual Basic install so I will have a look at that and report back if anyone is interested.
