I need to remove the center console from around the gear stick and also the side panel that goes between teh drivers leg and the carpet over the transmission tunel
anyone got guides or how tos?
Cheers
Let me guess, you want to get your WB leads into the cockpit?anyone got guides or how tos?
Cheers
Cheers all, got it all done before I got a chance to read the thread. So far the wb is working good I need to tidy the install up some time by placing the LED into the console.

There was a good guide over on LS1GTO I think ages ago.
It was a guide to fitting a shifter, but it covered removing a lot of that trim.
thats what I did, I followed the Orssom shifter guide only I then also combined it with the PLX WB install guide and jobs a good unIt was a guide to fitting a shifter, but it covered removing a lot of that trim.
cheers mackie for your links too

gelf I can pop up and show you mine. Its dead easy once you figure it out - now its in I am going to clean my install up but need an extention lead for that
When under the car get under the gear box. On the drivers side look mid way towards the front of the car you will see a blank gromet. The one on the other side may be populated. Be careful, you need to cut the carpet - I did this from inside the car rather than scoring from underside.
You still over Calne way? I can only help on the drivers side, I didnt do the passenger side but what I will recommend before you do it is get 2 extention looms from monkfish. Thats how I am going to tidy it up - standard cable is long enough but it becomes messy.
Are your LC-1s equiped with 7 stripped wires or 6? If 6 you need to strip off the rubber sheilding to expose a spare system earth. Before you install get a test bench rigged up with a voltmeter - i can bring everything over if you like to help out. I went through a pain barrier getting help from Richard and Joe so I should be able to help you out if you fancy.
Using 2 is beneficial but 1 should suffice. I've ran my lc-1 to emunate bank 2 sensor 1 nb02 as well as feeding wb into efi.
Is yours a 6.0ltr?

Yes its a 6.0ltr (ls2)i'm still in Calne, what are the extensions needed for? The cables are quite long on the LC-1's. I havn't looked yet, is there a NB for each side? Whats the test bench/rig for? God this aint cheap, i'm ordering a bench harness from US to do PCM flashing
why are you getting a bench harness? Dont be so worried about it, one of the lads has done 1500+ remaps (no it aint me!)
basically the test rig is just a 12v battery - you emulate your wiring to check it all works for one but two so that you can check the volt output fom your lc-1s, last thing you want to do is get it all in then find the sensor or controller is faulty.
Just a 12v batter, multiimeter and some spade connectors (I have them all lose here).
The loom on the wb-1 is long enough so you can keep your controller inside the car rather than tied underneathe it to make it easier when connecting everything up I'd suggest a loom extention to go from the PCM connector (under the car) to the LC-1 controller inside teh car. You dont need to do that but it will help in the future. I think the LS2 has the squre type PCM connector which should fit through the gromet hole.
My own view on the bench harnes, as with any cpu, unplugging and plugging it in repeatedly is not a good thing. The risk to me is more if you are removing, installing, removing, installing every time you flash - and you will be flashing quite a bit whilst you get your VE dialed in.
Has your car been tuned by anyone already as your pcm could be locked out.
