My Chimaera will be paying a visit to TVR Power on the back of recovery truck after singularly failing to start at the gym this afternoon with electrical problems....

Reminds me of the snag-sheet from Qantas airlines. One said "engine number 4 missing" (piston engine that is). Reply was "engine found on right wing after brief search"

Well before Warren's internet karaoke service takes off....

Yes it is back. The fuse link on the alternator had gone, sufficiently welding itself to take me lucky the whole car didn't go up in flames, according to Dom.
Also confirming my lack of faith in public transport along the way...
2 taxis and 2 trains over 3 hours and £40 to get there, 2nd taxi so smooth I think I had whiplash with no accident....
1hr 15mins (hit a queue) and £15 to get back.

Trouble is, It's now distinctly overfuelling (lots of popping etc, loss of power, juddery on heavy acceleration) so will have to go back in to be sorted in a couple of weeks.

Sounds like you have a couple of plug leads on the wrong way. Has it done it all the way home?
