A friend of mine has a late '70s Mk4 1.0 (not sure of the model but it seems reasonably well spec'd) with a genuine 6,500 on the clock. Its a single owner from new, always been garaged and only driven in the dry. Despite the low mileage its been serviced every year by a main dealer and is in very good condition with only a handful of tiny rust spots.

Any idea on (very) rough value?

70's car will be a mk3 I'm guessing, value is really what someone is willing to pay, some got to be worth a few thousand though, probably best to get the rust sorted out if it is as minimal as you suggest and sell as a minter.

Its very hard though, original cars are getting more sort after but depends on the model etc plus some are advertised for silly money but don't sell. a few years back it would have been a few hundred but prices do seem to have picked up lately

It'd be a mk 4 if it;s late 70's Mk 3 ended in '76 wink Should be worth a bit with that milage
