Hey all,

Picked up my Gallardo Spyder on weds pm.

Amazing!Amazing!Amazing!

Naturally have been living in it for the last few days as well as grinning like a fool.

Alas got back from our first big run today to discover coolant leaking from the front end of the car!
This then lead to the light coming on the dash etc....

Naturally am gutted that I can't go out to play tonight and tomorrow.

Will wait till Monday am b4 calling Lam London and having a big moan.
Wondered if anyone had encountered anything similar b4?
Thnx in advance!

I was just thinking that if it was only a small trickle it might just be from the air conditioning. I think with the warning light too it is unlikely, but might be worth checking. What sort of volume of water are you losing? Is it easy to top up the water on a G?

Funnily enough exactly the same thing has just happened to me!

Front end, blue coolant and warning light.

Must be a weakness or faulty part.

Getting it picked up next week.

This is quite bizarre.

not a gallardo but My S8 dumped half its coolant without warning about 3 days ago. No leaks just gone - went to halfords, bought some replacement and hasn't used a drop since.

Whats that all about eh. "aliens stole my coolant"

Where at the front can it leak coolant?

Are you certain it's not just the condensation from the AC unit (when it's humid it will drip a lot of liquid)?

If its anything like the Porsche 911 design with the front radiators easily exposed to stone chips entering at high speed then this could be the problem. I would have initially thought it was the air-con but if the dash light has came on then it does look like the radiators "If" the layout is simialr to a 911.

Near side front.

Coolant literally pouring out from the behind the radiator. Also being drawn through into the from wheel arch.

Not having much luck with coolant issues! In my boat both engines have both suffered from cracked coolant manifolds, not that its getting much use with the great Summer we're having.

OK so news back form the garage:

Word is that the car has a "faulty component".

In particular the pipe and coolant control unit have problem - however are not sure which so they plan on replacing the whole lot.

Parts ordered - but prob no car before Thurs @ earliest! frown
