What is the difference between the two ?

What vehicles where each gear box fitted too ?

And how can you tell which box you have fiited ( any markings ?

check in the boot & look at the sticker.

The diffs are different and also the shift tower/cables. Late mk3 16v/VR6 and mk4 Golfs use the 02J. Early Mk3 16v/VR6 Golfs use the 02A.
