Its an amazing piece of hardware. Because llandudno has a west shore and an east shore the lifeboat house is located about half way between (about 1/2 a mile I guess) Consequently when the lifeboat is launched this monster pulls it through the streets!
It makes a hell of a noise with those caterpillar tracks on the tarmac and its a sight to behold.

It reverses into the sea and as soon as its deep enough the lifeboat disconnects and zooms off.

How cool is that? I badly want one of those now. Looking at the reinforced windows etc I'm guessing they still have to launch in much rougher weather
