Rymer then got the car racing bug and raced in British GTs for a couple of years between 2000 and 2001.

Good vid. Shame it wasn't in the dry. I am sure that they would have both had a greater driving/riding experience but still interesting to watch.

Nice one.

Just as a side note. My lady and I went for a trip down south to a Lambo party and we did the journey swapping between the ZRX110 kwaka and the TVR Tuscan. She got the twisty A and B roads on the bike and the fast Motorways in the Tuscan. I got the short straw but I must admit it was hard switching between the two muscle machines. Took me about 20 mins before I got back into the swing of what machine I was riding/driving. Bikes and cars are completely different beasts if you want to drive them well and at to the legal limit!

Terry Rymer was the man...I liked to watch him race ...a top bloke.
He was doing some of the the world superbike championship on a RC30 & FZR 750 before Foggy...with some good rides. His late 90`s BSB rides on the Old Spice Ducati & Kawasaki are good viewing. IIRC He had 2 blistering rides from the back of the field at Thruxton in 96 winning the first race & just missing out to McKenzie on the last lap of the 2nd.
I watched the GT racing when Rymer was having a drive in the GT Porsche. Got on well but always seemed to end up in an incident ..
I think he runs a motorcycle dealership now....races trucks too..

The reason he started from the back of the grid was that he missed qualifying because he was on the way back from riding at the 24hr Le Mans Moto. IIRC the he didn't finish the second race was he broke a cam belt. cool
