Ive recently taken the y piece (cat still in)off and applied 4 layers of heat wrap. Ive left the manifolds as since remmoving the cats they stay much cooler. The difference is amazing there seems hardly any heat at all in the engine bay even after a blast i can still touch the y piece now without grilling myself. Well worth the £20!
