HOOD COVER, ANYONE USE THEM--BESTO BUY?
Discussion
having owned several older TVR`s before which leaked like sieves, i was thinking of getting a hood cover 4 the griff. i would only be using it when i was out with it as the car is garaged. does anyone else here take one out with them to meets etc? i see the ones leven do and the club one are both well the other side of 100 notes, are they that much better than the `halfords special`? i don`t mind paying the exta if people think they are worth it.ta in advance--martin
err, leave it out in the rain and see if it leaks?
i have the leven cover, and i use it if the weather looks a bit iffy when i get to work, but it's a bit of a faff for just popping into town or whatever.
came with the car but it is useful - and if i'm leaving the car for a few hours it probably discourages people from messing with it.
i know my car's dry ( touchingwood ) so i don't worry too much - i just use the cover to protect from UV and cos it's nicer getting into a car with clear screens etc. rather than one which has a damp hood.
if your car leaks it can be made dry - hand it to a specialist and let them get the sikaflex out.
