..along with a rear beam axle, but the back is sitting very high, even with the coilovers on the lowest setting (see picture).

I guess that because it's stripped out the spring rates/lengths need to be changed. I spoke to Spax and they said the springs were progressive and they wouldn't be able to spec them, I would have to tell them what I need. What should I do next? People must run these in stripped out cars...

Be interested to see how you've fitted them at the back.

I've got them on the front, keep meaning to do that back.

And this is the one I have heard is better quality, but I've no experience so can't comment myself.

Ahh I thought the Hudd one was angle iron effectively.

Yeah the Minispares one is the one I was looking at last time I looked at such things.

I've often wondered if it would be easy or even possible, to fit McPherson Struts to a Mini. Anyone else thought about this?

Can you get shorter springs that are the same rate as your current ones? Probably not too wise to just randomly change the rate (unless you know it needs to be different, in which case try it), as it's best to sort one part out (the height) before setting another bit up (the rate). If you see what I mean.

I think McWobble struts on a mini is a crap idea.

Are they Carl Austin 2 piece rims? I had a set and they made my steering a bit fun on the road. Very nice wheels though.
