Thought I'd share last nights events with you as I'm currently one of the happiest petrolheads out there!! My father + I sold our 400SE last year to fund to seperate projects but within weeks knew I would regret it! The car was everything I had hoped a BBW would be but got sucked into the crazy world of SEACS and could not keep both. Anyhow, after missing out on buying the car back on 2 occasions, when she came back up for sale last week I knew she would have to "come home"! I went to see the car late last night - never buy a car in the rain or at night... Didn't care the clutch was slipping just had to have her. Handed over the cash and headed home(some 120 miles away) on the M1 in the pxssing rain. A helpful motorist pointed out i had no back lights at the first loo/petrol stop so we carried on with the rear fogs on (sorry officer). Things doing grand until the clutch gave up the ghost in roadworks on the M25. Waited an hour for the AA by which time the traffic had cleared + the gearbox cooled enough to move the gearleaver + so headed off with an AA escort. Got in at 1.30 this am ... Have to say the hoon through my quiet village at 1am this morning was one of the most wonderful driving experiences I've EVER had. The reason for posting all this is to advise all those thinking of selling their wedges - don't do it!! I was lucky and only had to wait a short while before getting her back but seeing pics of her at the wedgefest + in sprint were awful. Didn't realise how much i missed silly things like the smell of the interior. Well thats my sleep deprived-rave over. I can't wait for next year's wedge fest and "Keep Wedging"!! Jamie

Hi Jamie wavey

Glad to see you're back in wedge ownership. The way i'm reading it is that you bought your old 400SE back again and not the SEAC. The SEAC resides fairly close to me and i've certainly not seen that come up for sale recently...lol.

If you're ever out my way to the west of London give me a shout and i'll drag my 450SE out to play !!!

Evening chaps - its not clear reading is it - I blame it on the 4 hours sleep i had!- It's my old 400SE that i've bought back. It's had 4 owners since me + my Dad and appears to have gained some Magnecor leads + a carbonfibre air box thingy. Think she has been sat out side for a while as carpets etc sopping wet but will have her out + polished at the weekend!
