I'm toying with the idea of changing the colour of my wheels to Gun Metal / Anthracite on my dark blue Griff. I got the idea on a recent trackday. The brake dust was immense and as a result, my wheels turned to this colour and looked quite good. scratchchinyes

Anybody done this with their standard wheels ? If so, what's involved and what sort of cost was it for the four wheels to be done ?

Go for powder coat, it's a much tougher finish. Expect around 50 quid a wheel smile
Not done it on a TVR, but had my cars wheels done and couldn't be happier with the finish.

Hi Lazy

We had our wheels done in a 'flip' paint, still collects a bit of dust but the effect when the sun hits them is great! We have paid for spiders to be refurbished approx £50 a wheel, the flip paint was a tad more!!

hi guys, been busy this morning had our annual ISO audit, so no time to play on herehehe

had my wheels sprayed proffessionaly, cost £40 per wheel incuding the paint, and the chap was very good as I didn`t even have to remove the tyres which saved a few quid as well, very thorough rub down, clean, etch primer, paint and some good laquer, I`ll post a pic when I get home later.
