Would it be best to go for a seperate SatNav and speed camera detector over a combined unit. Obviously it would be cheaper for the one and it's less units to stick to the screen, but I heard that units like the RA navigator are not that great for SatNav?

I was thinking of the PogoAlert and a TomTom unit, to get the best of both worlds. Or would I be wasting my money, and instead get a good combined unit??

As you may have guessed I've never had either, so all opinions helpful!!!

Get a TomTom or Garmin and download PocketGPS World's database of speed cameras - it's up to date and accurate because the camera sites are sent in by real people. Database is updated every month - go here - http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=POI...

Agreed. I use this. Works very well and new cameras seem to be added to the database very quickly. It is dependent on you yourself updating frequently too of course. The one small issue I have with it, is that although new camera's are added pronto, old camera's are usually not removed at all. At least not for a long time anyway. Thats really a minor grumble though, as its otherwise very good and inexpensive too.
