Can anyone recommend any good youtube or such videos of on board track footage from Donnington Park? I'll be there on Fri 31st for the first time and would like to do a little homework with the line and braking points and stuff before I get there. Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for that Charles, some nice tidy lapping going on there and not too fast that I can't keep up with what's going on. Very helpfull.

few laps onbard my megabusa http://www.jcoopercars.co.uk/westyvideo.htm

I found the circuit no where near as grippy as other circuits Ive done ,I would go steady for a few laps till you get the feel for it. I was told its something to do with the track being under a flight path.

Richard,

You might find this one from me useful on Youtube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otfjHg_7N0g

As well as video (showing steering also) it has data overlay so you can see corner speeds and G forces etc. The car is a fairly standard MR2 Roadster (just TRD springs and chassis brace) on Toyo T1-Rs. I may actually be there on Friday myself in the MR2, if not I will be around in the afternoon anyway with the Lotus Guys and am doing the track evening.

Maxx, I like the overlay what is that, what's required to run it?

Ed,

The software used to add the overlay is called Trackvision (http://www.trackvision.net). It uses data exported from various data-loggers in my case it's the DL1 from Race Technology but it supports all the major models. There are also dozens of different layouts you can use plus it's pretty easy to mod your own, you can see many of them on the trackvision site. I'm fairly sure there is a free demo version that just restricts the length of video you can produce.

Not a video but I found great corner-by-corner guides to most British tracks on http://www.driversknow.co.uk/motorsport/trackGuide...
