Newbie question

Guys
I've just bought a factory refurbed D70s and have been having a play, I tried to shhot some pics in raw but they won't download using the default microsoft program on my laptop. I guess I need different software, any advice what I should use?

apparantly raw utils is the one weakness of nikon's kit?

The RAW picture viewer available as a WinXP Power Toy works fine for me. Saying that I do have raw shooter as well and that is very good.

To an extent I agree, but not had first hand experience.

Generally, raw is THE way to go.

Used to use Raw Shooter. It's good 7/10.

Now use Lightroom - 9/10
