Anyone played it yet? I managed a go this morning. So far, excellent. Fixes many of the things that annoyed me about THPS. No more button mashing combo silliness, environments seem realistic, great sense of weight to the controls. I would show you a video of my exploits, but the share service isn't running yet. Overall, it really conveys the sense that you are controlling the skater, with the left stick controlling the legs, the right stick controlling the body, and the triggers controlling the hands. The IGN review reckoned it would take an hour to get used to, but I was pulling 360 grab tricks within 10 minutes, and can do tricks in and out of grinds pretty reliably. I got as far as opening the challenges up at the end of the tutorial, but didn't try any as I couldn't resist blasting around the skate park. Apparently the environment is "GTA sized". What a shame it comes out 5 days before Halo 3, otherwise it'd be a def purchase for me.

Sadly not. From what I have read, there will be ranked/unranked race and trick sessions, plus multiplayer freeplay.

I suspect after a few goes tonight an order will be placed.

I might try this - i hated the last one where it was all about hiting buttons at the right time (something i suck at)
