OK - how do they work?

What are the little stripes next to the games??????

By playing ranked matches, Live assesses your stats history (kills etc) and shoves you in the same room with similarly skilled players.

I don't like it as you can't invite gamer in as well as friendly fire's not available as an option.

I don't know which bit you are on about, but bars next to a room in any game normally indicate the strength of the ping to the game, i.e. the more green bars, the better the stabilty and less chance of lag.

Not sure, maybe someone know for definate ??

yeah - we did try once, but you always end up with americans or kids in your rooms... the only difference is (apart from the whole ranking thing) you can get achievements - but id rather play with this foul mouthed lot and have a laugh.
