Just the timing I guess - seems many of us former and current Lambo owners are considering CGT as either the next move or as an addition to the fleet...ergo...lot's of chat about the subject on this board.

Lambo to cgt seems like a big financial step
but I guess there aren't that many car's in the
£150-250k band

Not a huge step unless your in a diablo as a Murci's will start at 100k.

I would think an early used one could be had for less than a high spec 640.

In my scope for the moment.

if you are in the market for step above 430/gallardo supercar,ie above 150k,the market is rather limited in my opinion.zonda, konigsgogogoeggg, spyker are too kit car like and no pedigree..my choice for new would be 640lp and for second hand a cgt.
as for best value supercar, how about 04/05 murcielago for 100kish.going by simon georges experience its as reliable as anything else in this class..

If you go Murci make sure you get the latter addition with the bigger brakes. Drove a good mates at gold track silverstone gp yesterday. Very impressed, much better than I imagined she was going to be, not a handful, no obvious weight bias, sounded lovely (straight through exhausts), and pulled like a train. The brakes were woeful. I mean braking 200 yards before stowe at the bottom of the hanger straight just to make sure that Nick had brakes to drive home with and burning pad smell all the way.
Introduced myself to Paul Bailey when he wondered over to look at Nick's Murci and introduced him to the other chaps that where there on the day. What a real nice chap. Took a friend of Nick's out in his 360 spyder. That was good fun. Weird occurences with the brakes though. Felt quite powerful until you tripped the abs and then the pedal would go very solid underfoot and take a while to reset. Anyone else had this problem. A little unnerving when being told the insurance excess was £6500 and down to me.
Sorry I degressed, regards, Graeme

Come on Paul you aint going to get a CGT under £200k a £100k increase(100%) is a huge step I know it seems to be only loose change to you Paulwink but it is a huge step all the same.

I'd love to see what type of kit cars you have seen.

The build quality on a Zonda is second to none and makes an Enzo look like it was knocked up by peasants in a barn in Eastern Europe.

I disagree on the pedigree thing as well. Pagani is now a very highly regarded manufacturer. Granted no racing history but then again neither has Lamborghini really. Only Ferrari and Porsche can really trade off racing herritage.

The Spyker is well finished as well but looks like a blinged up MGF to me.

i accept zonda is beautifully made, but imo too many unnacessary fussy details...reason i think its kit car like is because of thinks like visible screw heads and a mercedes engine doesnt help matters...whats list price? £350 to £400k.?..i would rather have an lp 640 and a carrera gt in the garage...
