Have a lovely 1970 MGB GT. Good condition with lots of engine upgrades. Want a Griff. Guess I should just sell MGB first and then go shopping for Griff. But don't really want to be carless for any extended period. Anybody interested in a PX?

are you calling me a chimp?

no seriously - why do you say that? do you think more chimp owners would want a MGB?

it was a long shot anyway...

i am thinking about a griff or chimp... i prefer the more classic nature of the griff but the price of a chimp is appealing...

You can get some good deals on Griffs - shop around - but may be a long shot for a part ex. We'd obviously prefer you to get a Griff rather than a Chim soooooo common rolleyeshehe

Difficult to tell with FFG's humour on whether he reckons you would get a Chim or whether MGs are good for Chimps!! No offence meant either way Im sure.... smile

Just a Chimp/Griff thing.
More likelyt get a Chimp owner PX as Griff owners tend not to sell as often as the Griff is the pinnacle with nowhere else to go.
Chimps are cheaper but Griffs hold the value better. Owners are friendlier too (IMO)

like everyone else says, a real long shot finding a tvr owner who will do a part ex against an mg, plus if you try and buy any car as a straight cash deal it will put you in a much stronger position to haggle.yes

You're more likely to have success swapping the MG at a dealer's I'd say.

Or keep both for when the Griff spontaneously combusts/roof blows off on motorway/overheats and warps heads/ fries starter motor [add in list of problems here].
