NAV MAN SIGNAL??????

Any body else had a problem with their nav man, not picking up signal for blody ages when you set off?
its driving me mad, i feel like throwing it the bin. it can tke up to 15 mins to get a signal!!!! Help

This delay is unlikely with a modern 'Sirf star 3' GPS unless there is a problem.

Any chance you have a car with some sort of insulated windscreen - either heat protection or electric heating? Try the unit outside the car to check whether this is the problem. If it is, there may be a gap in the insulation either in the centre or at the side. If there is no gap, you may require an external aerial.

If it takes more than a minute to locate with a clear view of the sky, I suggest you take the unit back.
