Coil packs swap
Discussion
Hi all
I am currently investigating a misfire problem with the Cerb. It happens on tick over but decreases when the revs increase. An emmissions test shows unburnt fuel. I have changed the plugs (cheapest first) to no avail. My next port of call is the HT leads and the coil packs. Could i buy just one coil pack (from a 1996 Citreon ZX), try it on one side, then if that doesnt work try it on the other?
Im just trying to save a bit of cash as i dont know for sure this is the problem.
Also is there any way of checking the HT leads?
Ben

The coil packs are the same, so no reason you can't buy one & test it on both sides. Euro Car Parts part number : 413545061 (about £30 from memory)
Ht leads from here if you can't borrow a set (I would say I'll lend you my spare set, but I'm in Kent......)
Mis-fires are the worst thing to track down, but the car feels so much better once fixed !
Good luck !
