Hi all,

I have had at look at the long range weather charts for the 6th-9th sept
And these are my findings......
Its looking dry for all 4 days with high pressure building in from the continent.
Thursday: dry sunny spells max temp 21 min temp 8
Friday: dry sunny spells max temp 21 min temp 8
Saturday: dry sunny spells max temp 21 min temp 8
Sunday: dry sunny spells max temp 21 min temp 8

confidence in a dry race 80%

The current forecast is very similar to last year I don't think it will be as warm in the day and with the high pressure sitting over the north sea (last year it was right over the uk) this should keep the fog away.

Disclaimer:
This is the uk weather and it does/can/will change so keep them fingers crossed for a dry race.

P.S.
Dave looking forward to another 24 hours refuelling with you
Paul (Topcats)

So our zodiac rib for getting around the garage (you really had to be there in `05!) won`t be needed then.

Sounds good, I just hope you're right, I'm not sure my cameras can stand much more rain this year!

Trouble is these long range forecasts are utterly useless! They can't even get it right 48 hours in advance so I gave up on 'em a long time ago where racing is concerned.

I might just bring some of the ducks again, just to make sure we don't get any rain (it worked last year, didn't it biggrin)

What a load of cr*p. how can anyone possibly forecast 2 weeks ahead, the weather forcast can only get the next 3 days with any degree of certainty!

We have just imported a set of Monsoon tyres from Japan just in case!

You are quite right mr Belly... rolleyes
Nobody can give a detailed forecast that far out, But you can look at trends/jet steam/sea temps/pressure patterns to name a few to get a understanding about the month ahead.
This is my OWN forecast (weather is a hobby of mine) not a copy from the BBC!
At the moment the long range forecast is for High pressure dominance with the jet stream heading between Scotland and Iceland.
I will continue to update my forecast every few days and there WILL be changes after all this is the UK!

Paul.

Does that mean that if you get it wrong and we all buy the wrong tyres we can collect a rather large cheque from you? Shall i cancel my Monsoon tyres?

Would be good to have someone keeping an eye on the weather, if there is a stable high pressure in the area it will be much easier to forecast earlier.

But i am sure it will rain!

With an 80% degree of certainty, we will be having weather during the 24hrs.

I shall use my trusty seaweed for an accurate prediction.

If it is dry and crispy - the weather shall be warm & sunny
If it is wet and shiny - it'll be raining then
If I can't see it - it's bloody foggy!
