Le mans 2008 help please !

myself and a dozen of my friends will be heading for le mans next year, its been over 5 years since any of us have been, we need advice on campsites, ferry bookings, tickets etc,
Ideally we want a campsite with fairly civil facilities i,e a toilet that is likely to work for the whole weekend.

Something quite lively would be fine, if there are any other people based in yorkshire who would like to escort us that would be even better.

how risky is it to just arrive and expect to get a ticket and a campsite ?

Been going from Yorkshire and staying staying on Houx for the last five years, about as civilized as it gets, would not risk going without arranging things though. You may get general admission tickets, but camping/grandstand seats? No chance.
