Apologies to the chap that asked this earlier but this thread needs a spoilers warning biggrin

With practice just a couple of hours away, will this be the Ferrari track people are expecting or will McLaren's drivers pull something out of the bag (assuming they're not getting in each other's way - they've had a chat after all hehe)?

Massa to win, Kimi and Fonzo to take eachother out at the first corner as they both try to put Lewis behind them. Lewis 2nd Kubica 3rd.

i doubt it - clear blue skies here and temps in the high 30's - don't think rain is forecast for the weekend...

Not that it matters much but Ferrari 1-2 in 1st practice, Mclaren 3-4.

Interesting that Ferrari generally sand bag a bit at this point, I wonder if this is their true performance and they are sending a message, or if they have a lot in reserve?

Why is this an official thread? Are Max and Bernie in the building?

Ferrari just look frighteningly fast at this point. McLaren are often conservative in the first sessions, but not normally by that much.

Let's just hope the Ferrari drivers trip over each other. Otherwise I'd bet Ferrari 1 2 with McLaren 3 and 4, reliability pending.

2nd practice red flagged at the moment due to a loose drain cover.

Hamilton currently fastest with KR, FM and FA next.

Kimi's first session lap was a low fuel run - no doubt about it

2nd session Hamilton is fastest by 3/10ths but almost 1/2 sec down from Kimi's first session run - and slightly slower than Massa fastest in Free 1

after the red flag i think all the top drivers just went for long runs so won't have set any quick times... i think the mclaren looks the happier car tho

P11 now after Q2 - best of the rest so he can at least fuel up as much as he likes and can hopefully get some good points tomorrow.

Davidson put in the 5th best 3rd sector time, you could tell that it was good from the on board as Brundle mentioned he was very smooth and clipped all the apexes.

Sector 3 times.

1 Kimi Räikkönen 24.033
2 Lewis Hamilton 24.055
3 Felipe Massa 24.072
4 Mark Webber 24.077
5 Anthony Davidson 24.099
6 Fernando Alonso 24.101

Webber was quick too, not sure what happened to him because he was also quicker than Davidson through all the other sectors as well

Funny Brundle should have to mention the fact that Lewis didn't swear at Ron Dennis at the last GP. First place that I read about that was in Brundle's column in the Sunday Times. Perhaps MB has been a bit loose with the verite? biggrin

Any chance of Davidson for Toyota next year if they get rid of that big girl Ralf?
