I’ve had the Cerb for a few years now and have been considering a change. I’d really like to go back to a soft top but not too keen on going back into a V8 car like the Chimera again. Fancy something a little smaller and have always loved the MX5, having made a few changes lately I’m thinking of getting one of the new ones. Has anyone gone in that direction? I think it would really suit me!

Are you sure you wouldn't miss the difference in performance?
MX5 are nice cars but they aren't really performance cars.

I remember swapping from something that did 0-60 in about 7s to something that did it in 9s, I thought it wouldn't bother me but it did.

Have you considered an S2000? More power than an MX5 and roomier too, although it's a very different animal to the Cerb.

Roomier? Apart from leg room a mk2 or 3 MX-5 feels roomier than the S2000.
Apart from straight line speed an MX-5 is much more fun than S2k imo (still not as good as a Tiv of course!)
