I have had my car valeted, unfortunatly i forgot to ask them NOT to spray the dash / interior in with the glossy silicon spray.

When the car was collected the whole interior is covered in foul stuff which i loath, my fault for not telling them.

Is there anything that can be used to rub this stuff off with, or to reduce the shine?

For something cheap and cheerful I would try Autoglym Interior Shampoo, or maybe even Woolite mixed 5:1 (that's just a guess at a ratio to be honest) with warm water and a microfibre cloth.

Einzett is a matt finish, and works very well, inc. on the wheels and handbrake lever.
Not sure about using it to remove the other product though - a citrus based degreaser would've been my approach, then the Cockpit Premium a day or two later, especially if solvent based.

strong mix of soapy water, washing up liquid will do, on a terry cloth. followed by a wipe over with white spirit and then again with the soapy water mix.

to get a good matt finish, poorboys natural look dressing applied on a work towel or terry cloth.

remove 'old' finish/treatment with Megs APC (all purpose cleaner diluted) - then Poorboys Natural Look dressing for a classy no gloss finish

now the Megs APC is a 'trade' product - but if you pm/email me i'll send you enough to do the job!! - FREE

the simplist thing to remove it would be household multi surface cleaner
