...or group of mods which complement each other. You know, the one which you think "Im really glad I did that because......"

For me its the bonnet vents together with the manual fan override switch...stuck in traffic today for 30 minutes in hot sun, it was a life saver...

Whats yours??

At the risk of being shot down in flames by some on here, getting a chip and re-map on the rolling road with Mark Adams a few years ago was definitely my best mod!

Can now easily pass the emissions part of an MOT without having to have a 'friendly' garage, power and torque both up by 25 (BHP and lb ft respectively), and fuel consumption down too.

So as not to embarrass anyone I won't say what figures we got off the RR either - 'they all read differently', so no fair comparison......

Let's just say that having done a few, Mark thought it was one of the very best 'standard' 430's he had seen. I'm happy!

(Still, another 1.2 litres wouldn't go amiss.....)

I've done so much that its had to pick one thing but power boost aside,
It would have to be the suspension and brakes upgrade/overhaul. It turned a terifying point and shoot widowmaker into a "proper" high performance sports car that is an absolute hoot on the track.

Oy...it didnt cost £10, it was free (and I can switch them on before theres any trouble ahead which no ECU could do for me)...I resemble that remark!! hehe

Have to say, the manual over ride switch, coupled with a full overhaul of the heater control switch, has made the biggest difference to the running and cabin temperature. Wifey is so much happier now!!! smile For the grin factor, I can't beat the sleeved exhaust, which was reasonably cheap as I did it myself!thumbup

The new 5.3 engine and the Toyo's 888.

Jeffsy, do you have a picture of your bonnet vents? No problems with heat against your windscreen/cabin?

I've also seen some from the underside of the bonnet but don't remember the thread

I did try to tell you!rolleyesheheI also tried to tell you that you could use your ecu to tell you the CORRECT engine temp, rather than be mislead by the gauge,so that you might be able to avoid doing anything drastic.........hehe
