We'll find out next weekend at Brands Hatch.

Jonny Wilson (Silver 4.5 Cerb) and I (Blue Griff 500) have been neck and neck for most of the season and its come down to the wire at the last meeting of the year in Kent. The GroupB title has already gone to Tony Abrams in a RV8 Race Tuscan (no discredit for us coming in behind a full on Tuscan) but with only two races to go there's only one point between me and jonny for "Runner up 2007".

So if you have a spare weekend, pop along to see us fight it out over the weekend. Both cars are tricked up and sorted so it should be a good fight. Whos your money on?

Griff or Cerb?
RV8 or AJP?

We'll find out next weekend, hope to see some of you there smile

see you out there mate, no pressure then wink

Was just browsing Sprint and noticed that it was at Brands next weekend.

Think I'll take a trip up there and see how everyone gets on.

FWIW Andy I strongly suspect youve detuned your engine too far, which is even more credit to your driving skills my man!! Considering JW has by his own admission about 420bhp you're at least 70 hp down .. best of luck!! thumbup

Nice of you to say so jools, there is a chance that we have gone to far, but the power is so useable and torquey it serves well, and the car is generally where it should be on the Grid. ie behind the Tuscans. Does p1ss me off though when the pull away. before the detune, I reckon I'd have had them.
or is that paddock talk. smile

(might wind ir back up for Ring/Spa in Oct tho. Can't bear the thought of those GT3RSs disapperaing up the kemmel straight. Took me three years to catch them. frown )

Got our eyes on 08 already. with 300 or so PTW, I don't have to loose 2 stone and strip out the car!

there IS a God. cloud9

will you be there m8?

hi jools i will be very suprised as i'm sure you would as well if jonnys makes that power from a standard 4.5 and 4.2 intakes with a chip we are going to rolling road it at the end of the year so will let you know

Hi APM wavey It was JW's own post that i got the info from .. he said it was 380before as a 4.2 and with the extra ccs it was noticeably faster .. he reckoned an extra 40hp so that's where i got the 420from. To be fair you need about 10% extra to notice it so an extra 40hp does sound about right over what it had before. Whatever the hp, it's fair to say you build a nice engine thumbup Ah found the thread now ..

Back to copper, the others can't stand the heat from the manifolds at full chat.

To put Full Chat into context...................

..............the Cerb is awsome when on all 8. It is a standard 4.5 (more cams and my old polished heads yet to go on) with the 4.2 breathing and injection, it is remapped and has a custom chip that is fuelling at 1.2 litres a minute on average on the track! Torque and power are unbelievable and in comparison to the 4.2 that was producing 380 bhp it's another world, so it must be at least 40 up with a much earlier and higher torque curve.

Combined with the weight loss and the super stiffness of the strengthened chassis and suspension and the noise from having no interior............nice!

I was excited and fresh and new (f*** all)!
I don't think we are far apart on PTW as we don't seem to loose eachother on the straight bits and we've both become a lot quicker and more brazen on the Tuscans. Brands will be a great test as we won't have to keep an eye in the mirror for theæ Sags which has split our racing before.
Looking forward to it. Was pressing 180 kg and squatting 390 kg in the gym just thinking about it!!!
