Look what I found stored away in an old service garage this morning? Its was hidden away from sight, but that unmistakable shape caught my eye!

I could not believe my eyes upon seeing a red Countach Anniversary obscured by a all around it and in a very dusty and dirty state. I was further surprised (very pleasantly) to see a 'Mike Pullen - Carrera Sport' sticker on the front window. I managed to find the owner who had bought the car about 3 years ago and had stored it away ever since.

Please excuse the photos as it was very hard to position myself with everything around and I was only using a phone camera. The owner has a huge old collection of cars that just get stored up and he barely remembered he even had the car in his ownership! He does have some paperwork for the car, but cant remember what it consists of when I spoke to him. I couldnt open up the car or see inside the engine bay but have been told by a local mechanic that it starts up fine and sounds great! I asked the owner if he was interested in selling it and he is open to it providing the price is right (as to be expected).

From what I can tell, its a Red 1989 or 1990 RHD Anniversary, the interior looks to be white with red piping, the wheels are original with gold bolts around the split rims. One of the rear tyres is flat and the paintwork was so dirty, it was hard to see the quality.

If anyone is seriously interested, can you call Mike on 0208 563 0860. The owner knows what the current values are, and is happy to keep it for another 10 years if need be, so he doesnt want to be contacted with ridiculous offers. He asked me to mention this specifically.

Regardless, its a very interesting f and exciting find, if nothing else!

The owner may know what the current values are but going by the state it is in after 3 years it will be worth nothing after 10 ....

Daniel and all...

3 years static, covered in filth, owner who claims he knows the car's value - equals no more than £30,000 imo (plus approaching £30,000 for the buyer to make it the £50,000+ car it should be...)

It's criminal! What a shame, what a pity... another 10 years like that should see it well and truly worth now't but a few brass farthings, still, at least it appears to be dry (and 'sounds great' much like a scabby dog with a sore throat does!)

The guy (owner) is probly going to ask a silly price for a car that he has just bought and dumped.

shame you havent got th ereg details. becuase if that comes on th emarket...a buyer needs to be real sure. After all the neglect etc.

There's something odd about these 'cololectors' who supposedly buy cars then dump them to gather dust for a few years after which they will expect a decent price...it would be a better investment and yield a better return if they got somebody to drive their assets regularly. It would cost peanuts.

what a waste cry

the funny thing is the owner probably thinks by leaving it like that he is going to get more for it than if he used it. unfortunately simply standing around is not good for any car. tyres perish and seals dry out etc etc.

he's obviously not a car nut - he couldn't even be bothered to get a cover for it mad

doesn't want to be contacted with silly offers - what a plank.

There are certain amounts of delusion and lack of understanding on the part of the owner. If he believes that this car can just sit here for another 10 years and then he can demand top dollar when the values have risen, he is sorely mistaken. For the people who truly cherish their cars, then these top values will always be obtained. I would guess that in its current state, a full respray might be needed - but it was so hard to see due to all the dirt. Jump forward 10 years, or even a few more years, a full engine rebuild would be needed plus a possible re-wire, new tyres and god only knows what structural work!! This is pure igorance from the owner if he thinks that these cars can just sit and wait for years fo their owners to drive them without any side effects.

If there was a car RSPCA, they would rehome this wonderful car!

I find it so hard to understand that someone can relax with their car left in this awful condition. I would not be able to sleep at night!!

I would say that in its current state it would be worth about £30-35k and that would also be subject to what paperwork he has
