How do you tell the difference?

Between SPECS cameras and Traffic monitoring cameras.

I have seen a lot of cameras on high poles monitoring various roads and with all the talk of new SPECS sites it is getting worrying.

Do they look different (colours etc) or what?

trafficmaster cameras are blue & come in pairs (IIRC) pointing left & right, traffic flow cameras (such as on the M1/A1 link) are tall grey poles with a cctv style camera, SPECS are mounted on blue poles over the road and have two infra red thingies either side of the camera unit which look like cannon magazines! - such as the the A610 in notts
