As well as the Fighting Torque report (no HSV content) Autocar this week has a few lines saying the VXR8 has been seen testing at the 'ring with an LS7 engine.

Also they have a piece on lightweights, including the Elfin.whistle

someone else posted up about this speculation earlier in the week. I reckon its been Tiler over there playing with his new toy - as the LS7 version was meant to be for sale in Oz only why test at the ring, surely they'd use somewhere closer to home (cheaper) and more relevant to the average buyer there - Bathurst circuit for example.

If they did offer the LS7 in the VXR8 I for one would fight to be head of the list to get one.

Did Tyler get his LS7 engine in the end?

Last I heard "Im driving it stock for a while" or words to that effect were heard.

Bathurst is a 2 way road for the rest of the year, strict sppeed limits etc. I agree though that the 'Ring would be a bit of an unusual testing choice for HSV.

May be pauls been testing my car at the ring. And he did say it was quick.
And it will be ready to pick up shortly. But as for a ls7.
