hi, is it a ford bellhousing the one on the T5 trans of the '96 griffith 500? or else? thankd for the infos/Giuseppe

No. T5 to Rover. Ford ones are different.

...this would mean that it's harder then i expected to adapt the griff T5 to any engine transplant (like a chevy)...?

No just need a new bellhousing, clutch and possibly slave, mounts and propshaft. Or machine an adapter plate to match the original bellhousing to the new engine.

I've done both. Just costs money and time and effort like most things connected with any engine transplant....

There is a SBC to t5 bellhousing,but it won't fit where the top chassis rails narrow unless you want your engine 3 inches forward.
