Just thought i'd say hello
I've been lurking for a while now and thought I'd join in the fun.
A little about me? I'm 20 years old, I live in Bedfordshire, just about to start a HE Access course, which hopefully will get me onto a degree I would like to do - aviation management.
I love cars (you don't say!) and socialising, music and all that jazz - also a big fan of jap car shows across the UK. I own a 2001 Primera which I'll get onto soon...
I'm a staff member and also a fanatic member of the NPOC, (www.npoc.co.uk) who I show with.
So anyways, here's my car;
It's a 2001 Primera, bit of an oddball, has the 150bhp GT engine fitted to it instead of the 138bhp engine that usually comes with this model.
I've done a few mods to it, sorted the suspension out, with apexi springs (-40mm) and KYB adjustable shocks, removed the abortive precat which was built into the equally abortive cast manifold, I replaced all that with an XSpower 4-2-1 manifold, which is mated to the cat, and I extended the rear o2 sensor and had a boss welded into the standard pipe, to keep the AFR in check and also to keep the dreaded CEL off! This is finished off with a Remus SS backbox.
Done a few cosmetic things to - changed the grills, cleared the front indicators, bought some OE enkeis for it, then had them refurbed, Leon Cupra R splitter (did have a laguna one), 3 leg OE spoiler, and lots of other bits.
Here's a pic when I first got it;

And here's how she stands now;

At the JAE, where I won best in class second year in a row

Also going to be fitting a car pc;

I've got my sounds sorted too - got alpine components, dynamatted, pioneer HU, ipod interface, 12'' sub, 2x amps and stuff..
Plans are some cams, a lightened flywheel and an Apexi intake.
Also getting some 16" Rota Slipstreams in october - in gunmetal with a polished lip.
Well, hope you like!
Nik

Hey - cheers for the warm welcome! I was a big fan of BTCC in the late 90s/early 00s so the Primera made its mark on me. My dad also had one new in 2000, which I loved, so I guess I was brought up with them. I love the stealthiness of them, whilst having excellent handling, and competent performance - and smart lookers after a few bits. Xenons and heated leather buckets are always nice too!

I had a Primera GT a few years back (albeit a standard car, no mods). Absolutely loved it.
I bought for the same reasons as NikC - watching the Primera's in the BTCC in the 90's!
It is the only car that I miss... I sometimes wish I still had it - in fact I sometimes contemplate getting another for a fun, cheap track car!
